  • Bill Gates prognosticates

  • and Coca-Cola jumps on the A.I. train

Future-proof careers

With the looming threat of A.I. replacing millions of jobs in the not-too-distant future, many are starting to wonder if any job will be safe from the robot revolution.

In an attempt to answer this question, the U.S. Career Institute assembled a list of 65 jobs that have an “automation risk probability” of 0% based on the abilities, knowledge, and skills required to perform the job well.

“The jobs at low risk of automation are ones that require human qualities that a robot cannot replicate, such as social skills, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal relationships,” the report stated.

The report also ranked the automation-resistant jobs by the expected industry growth rate through the year 2031, in order to give people planning their careers a gauge of the most in-demand industries.

Top 10 “low-risk of automation” jobs ranked by projected growth rate through 2031:

  1. Nurse Practitioners: 45.7%

  2. Choreographers: 29.7%

  3. Physician Assistants: 27.6%

  4. Mental Health Counselors: 22.1%

  5. Nursing Instructors and Teachers: 21.5%

  6. Coaches and Scouts: 20%

  7. Athletic Trainers: 17.5%

  8. Physical Therapists: 16.9%

  9. Orthotists and Prosthetists: 16.8%

  10. Occupational Therapists: 13.9%

Conspicuously absent from the full list are many of the “vice” professions, including drug dealers and prostitutes, but we’ll leave that for another day…

Bill Gates on A.I.

Earlier this month Bill Gates told Forbes that AI is "every bit as important as the PC and as the internet," saying that the rapidly progressing technology will be the “biggest thing this decade.”

And with Microsoft getting the jump on Google thanks to their early partnership with OpenAI, Gates went on to explain the possibility of stealing market share away from Google’s massive search business:

"Google has owned all of the search profits, so the search profits will be down, and their share of it may be down because Microsoft has been able to move fairly fast on that one."

Investors appear to agree, with Microsoft stock significantly outperforming Google stock since the release of their A.I. products.

Coca-Cola adopts A.I.

Following up on our article earlier this week, Coca-Cola has decided to jump on the bandwagon and is beginning to use A.I. tools, including ChatGPT and DALL-E, to completely revamp its marketing strategy.

“We’re excited to unleash the next generation of creativity offered by this rapidly emerging technology,” said James Quincey, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.

“We see opportunities to enhance our marketing through cutting-edge AI, along with exploring ways to improve our business operations and capabilities.”

With the goal of delivering more relevant advertising to its audiences, Coca-Cola has entered into a partnership with Bain & Company to develop highly personalized ad copy, rich imagery, and targeted messaging at scale.

“Improved content could rapidly enhance Coca-Cola’s brand presence globally, further cementing their market share dominance over rivals, especially in territories where they may not be the market leader,” explained Martin Lamming, marketing director for Naoris Protocol.

And while a number of companies are starting to explore A.I. technology for their marketing initiatives, Coca-Cola is proving to be the most aggressive early adopter of the technology.

“Coca-Cola’s vision for the adoption of OpenAI’s technology is the most ambitious we have seen of any consumer products company,” said Kass, head of go-to-market products at OpenAI.
