Because of Japans aging population, over 600,000 profitable companies risk closure in Japan due to a lack of successors, but thanks to Sagami's M&A Research Institute, business owners now have a way to pass their businesses on to the next generation.

The M&A Research Institute helps connect buyers and sellers of businesses and is able to close deals in 2-6 months or less, a process which traditionally takes over a year…

All of which is made possible through their AI and proprietary data magic.

And thanks to the massive demand for the service, the founder of this AI-powered matchmaker is now worth a staggering $950 million.

Looks like the opportunities to strike it rich with AI are alive and well.

Olive Oil Industry Adopts AI

According to the Olive Oil Times, researchers at the University of Jaén in Spain are developing an AI system that will provide olive farmers with real-time data on crop health, irrigation needs, and potential pest threats, a revolution in olive farming that will increase crop yields and reduce the need for harmful pesticides.

"The system can identify potential threats and issues before they become significant problems, improving yields and reducing costs, said Dr. Luis Gonzaga, the lead researcher. "The tool will revolutionize the olive oil industry."

And while certain farmers are concerned that the new technology will replace jobs, and could potentially lead to the loss of traditional farming practices, proponents argue that it's not about replacing humans, but assisting farmers in improving the quality of their product.

Considering the promise of higher yields, lower costs, and healthier crops, it’s only a matter of time before this type of technology becomes standard practice for farmers worldwide.

The Future of Pharma

Google has made a substantial leap into the healthcare sector, unveiling a suite of cutting-edge AI tools with the goal of accelerating drug discovery.

Traditionally a painfully slow process that can take more than a decade before a drug comes to market, Google aims to utilize machine learning to help researchers and pharmaceutical companies streamline the labor-intensive process of drug development, a move that could drastically cut the time it takes to bring new treatments to market.

"Our mission is to help the life sciences industry make quantum leaps in the speed and efficiency of drug discovery," said Dr. Greg Moore the Chief Medical Officer at Google Cloud.

Google's AI tools will be used to analyze vast amounts of data, including chemical compounds and patient data, to predict how potential drugs might interact with a disease. 

This application of AI in drug discovery is already drawing interest from major pharmaceutical companies, many of which are keen to adopt this technology in order to improve their drug discovery process.

Google is also launching a suite of healthcare APIs that will allow healthcare providers to securely share and analyze health data, further enhancing their ability to deliver personalized patient care.

"With these tools, we're not just accelerating drug discovery today, said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud said, “We're setting the stage for more profound discoveries in the future."
